This is a quiz app where you guess the correct second half of a phrase from the traditional Iroha song.

This app quizzes you on phrases from the "Iroha Uta."

"Iroha Karuta" is based on the "Iroha song," a famous poem that uses each of the 47 traditional hiragana characters without repetition. The karuta (cards) feature proverbs beginning with these characters. Originating in Kyoto during the mid-Edo period, it spread to Osaka, Nagoya, and Edo. This quiz app uses phrases from the Tokyo style.
