GameStop versteigert seinen berüchtigten Hefter, der für die Beschädigung mehrerer Konsolen während des Nintendo Switch 2-Launch verantwortlich ist. Der Erlös aus dem Verkauf kommt den Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals zugute, wobei die Gebote bereits über 100.000 $ liegen.

Neben dem Hefter und einer Echtheitszertifikat umfasst das eBay-Angebot die erste aufgearbeitete Switch 2-Konsole, deren Bildschirm geheftet wurde – nun voll funktionsfähig – zusammen mit ihrer ursprünglichen durchlöcherten Verpackung.

"Wenn auch bedauerlich, hoffen wir, dass dieser Vorfall eine positive Wirkung erzielen kann", sagte GameStop-CEO Ryan Cohen. Der Höchstbietende erhält ebenfalls, wie versprochen, Cohens Unterwäsche, falls die Auktion 100.000 $ übersteigt.
