Since 2018, World of Warcraft has been rewarding players with special incentives for choosing longer subscription periods, typically updated in January and July. These rewards often reflect the lunar Zodiac signs, such as the Auspicious Arborwyrm for 2024, the Year of the Wood Dragon.

The new six-month subscription offer for 2025 includes the Timbered Sky Snake, a stunning flying mount for retail WoW, celebrating the Year of the Wood Snake, and the Timbered Air Snakelet, a cute pet for Cataclysm Classic. Players can acquire these items by purchasing a six-month subscription, or they can buy them separately from the in-game store for $25 and $10, respectively. The Timbered Sky Snakelet, the modern WoW version of the pet, is available for $10 in the Battle.net shop but is not part of the subscription package.
