Rebel Wolves Set Sights on The Witcher 3 Level Quality for The Blood of Dawnwalker

The former developers of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077* at Rebel Wolves have introduced their latest project, *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. While the game isn't aiming for the full scope of a AAA title, the team's ambitions are sky-high. Rebel Wolves' founder, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, emphasized their goal of achieving *The Witcher 3*-level quality in a more compact form:

"We want AAA quality, like The Witcher 3—that’s our heritage. But as a small studio on our first project, we’re creating something more compact yet just as polished."

*The Blood of Dawnwalker* is designed to take players approximately 30-40 hours to complete. Tomaszkiewicz highlighted the importance of quality over size, questioning the industry's fixation on scale:

"Comparing anything to The Witcher 3, which was meant to last 100+ hours but often exceeded 200-300 hours, is crazy. But is size what makes a game AAA? Call of Duty is AAA without a massive campaign. So, does scale really matter?"

He further dismissed industry labels such as "AAA" and "AAAA" as irrelevant. *The Blood of Dawnwalker* is an action RPG that follows a half-vampire protagonist on a mission to save his loved ones within a 30-day and 30-night time limit. Despite the urgency, the game promises a smooth experience. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, it will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, although a specific release date has yet to be announced.
