Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Retro Nintendo Console Event
Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for its exciting 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is bringing back some nostalgic gadgets to celebrate. The festivities kick off with a new event starting on May 1st, 2025, promising a month-long celebration filled with fun and nostalgia.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with a variety of unique decor, from Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles to those sporting Playing Cards. For its 3.5th anniversary, the game is taking a trip down memory lane by introducing classic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
Adding to the nostalgia, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be available, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo's vintage playing card decks.
The event, running from May 1st until May 31st, 2025, offers players a full month to engage in missions and collect these cool new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear, and smashing them can yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
May brings a floral delight with the possibility of blooming into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also an update to nectar production, ensuring that fruit from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for both regular and special flowers like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Beyond these highlights, the 3.5th anniversary includes other exciting events, such as Community Day. Don’t miss out on the fun—get Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the celebration.
