First Announcement From Western Account

Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of a dedicated social media account for its upcoming English version. The release date might be unveiled during the much-anticipated livestream scheduled for May 15 at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus’ official western YouTube channel. The livestream promises to be a thrilling event, featuring special guests from the game’s cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They will be joined by P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda and Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, along with Development Producer Jun Matsunaga and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.

Originally launched in selected regions in April 2024, P5X has been the subject of much speculation among fans, particularly regarding its Western release. The developers hinted at their plans for English localization during the game’s first anniversary livestream. Adding to the excitement, the official account teased that while the release date for Japan will be announced, the question remains: "but what about the West? Be sure to tune in and find out!"

Japanese Release Coming Soon

The upcoming livestream will also shed light on P5X’s Japanese (JP) release, following the announcement made during the game’s first anniversary celebration. Atlus has confirmed that the game will launch in Japan in Summer 2025, with pre-registrations now open on P5X’s JP website.

Furthermore, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company and conglomerate, included the game in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12, noting that P5X is slated for release "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026), targeting a summer launch.
