Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a refreshed version of a previously re-released title. Following its 2010 Wii debut, Nintendo released a 3DS version in 2013, featuring eight exclusive levels. This HD release incorporates all original Wii levels and the additional 3DS content.

This challenging game offers two modes: the original difficult setting and an easier mode (from the 3DS version) providing extra hearts and assistance.
