Discover the Hidden Treasures: Unlocking Blackroot

This guide helps you locate Blackroot, a crucial herb in Divinity: Original Sin 2, needed for Miester Siva's Ritual. This ritual, performed to gain Night Vision, requires a ritual bowl, a bloody obsidian lancet, and Blackroot. While the first ritual's ingredients are found in Siva's basement, subsequent rituals require you to find them yourself. This guide focuses on locating Blackroot.

Finding Blackroot in Cloisterwood

Cloisterwood, a dense forest northwest of Driftwood on Reaper's Coast, is where you'll find Blackroot. Enter the forest and use the ALT key to highlight interactive objects. You'll find Blackroot at the base of certain trees. Collect several, even though only one is needed per ritual. The number of times the ritual must be performed is not detailed here to avoid spoilers.

Exploring Cloisterwood: More Than Just Blackroot

Cloisterwood offers more than just Blackroot. Explore thoroughly to discover:

  • Source Point Opportunities: Interact with Hannag and Jahan, who can each grant a Source point (Jahan also helps with Lohse's storyline).
  • Undead Trader: Find Eithne, an undead trader in the ruins, to obtain a side quest.
  • Bloodmoon Island: A ferryman at the northern pier provides passage to Bloodmoon Island.
  • Other Secrets: Discover the Wrecker's Cave and potentially a unique loremaster amulet.

Important Note: If this is your first Cloisterwood visit, thorough exploration is recommended. Avoid the powerful witch, Alice Alisceon, until you reach at least level 15.
