The confrontation culminates in a straightforward scene where Naoe can easily end the mission by using Wakasa's own Teppo to shoot her at point-blank range.

What If You Confront Otama in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Choosing to confront Otama instead complicates the mission. Although you'll still ultimately kill Wakasa, mistakenly targeting Otama first means you'll have to navigate a challenging stealth and combat sequence. After chasing down and killing Otama, you'll discover a letter revealing her corruption, but this delay allows Wakasa to fortify herself in Osaka Castle with her soldiers.
