The developers at Firaxis Games have released a roadmap for Civ 7, outlining four new content updates scheduled for March. Just days before the game's launch, they shared insights into the early and late March updates, which are categorized into Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. Here's what you can expect in March:
In addition to the March update, Firaxis teased the inclusion of 2 new Leaders, 4 new Civilizations, and 4 new World Wonders, along with fresh events and challenges. While the release window for these additions remains undisclosed, players can also look forward to new content rolling out in October 2025 and beyond.
The developers also shared a list of planned updates that were not included in the initial launch but are in the works. Although no specific release dates have been set, Firaxis assures that developers are already working on these features:
- Adding Teams to multiplayer
- Expanding the number of players in multiplayer mode to 8
- Allowing players to pick "starting and ending Age"
- Creating "a wider variety of map types"
- Adding hotseat in multiplayer
