MAME4droid 2024, crafted by David Valdeita (Seleuco), brings the power of the latest MAME 0.270 emulator to your high-end Android device. This emulator supports a wide range of arcade games and systems, including the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, MSX, and over 40,000 different ROMs. It's important to note that MAME4droid is solely an emulator and does not include any ROMs or copyrighted material.

Please be aware that MAME4droid is a separate entity from the Mame team and is not officially supported by them. If you have questions about MAME4droid, do not contact the Mame team. This version is optimized for high-end Android devices, reflecting the demanding specifications of the latest PC MAME version. Even with powerful hardware, you may find that some "modern" arcade games from the 90s onwards may not run at full speed or with complete compatibility.

Given the vast number of supported games and systems, performance can vary; some games may run smoothly while others might not run at all. It's impractical to provide support for every title, so please refrain from sending emails requesting help with specific games.

After installation, you can place your MAME-titled zipped ROMs in the /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.seleuco.mame4d2024/files/roms folder. Refer to the app's help section for alternative ways to load your ROMs. Note that this version of MAME4droid is compatible only with the '0.269' romset and not with romsets from older versions.
