Das bevorstehende Skate -Revival von EA, das derzeit in Closed Alpha ist, hat Mikrotransaktionen integriert. Wie von Insider Gaming berichtet, hat der Entwickler Full Circle eine virtuelle Währung, San Van Bucks, eingeführt, um kosmetische Artikel zu kaufen. Das Unternehmen zielt vor dem Frühzugriffseinführung ein Feedback des Spielers zum In-Game-Store-Erlebnis und bezeichnet den Wunsch nach einer „positiven Erfahrung beim Kauf von Artikeln“. Full Circle hat außerdem bestätigt, dass alle Spieler Fortschritte vor dem frühen Zugang zurückgesetzt werden, und alle während des Alpha getätigten Einkäufe werden als Bucks von San Van beim frühen Zugang zurückerstattet.

Die frühe Veröffentlichung von Skates Early Access ist für 2025 geplant. Der Full Circle wurde zunächst im EA Play im Jahr 2020 als Spiel in einer sehr frühen Entwicklung angekündigt.
