Scanwords in Russian are a unique cultural phenomenon, unmatched in any other language. They incorporate literary questions, humor, and current global contexts into what might seem like ordinary crosswords. The Russian people cherish their language deeply, valuing words as precious treasures.

Our application features a diverse range of scanwords, from simpler to more complex versions, including those with photographs and classic or associative questions like "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's hints. Each magazine includes one English-Russian scanword and one "holey" scanword, the reason for which will become clear upon solving. You'll be greeted by a character from our cheerful family on every page. Join us and dive in!

All scanwords are free for readers. This annual collection comprises 52-53 issues, each with 20 scanwords, requiring approximately 50 MB of storage on your phone due to the small size of the images and text.

You don't need an internet connection to solve the puzzles once the scanwords are downloaded to your device. A new magazine issue is released every Friday. If you have notifications enabled, you'll receive a reminder at 12:00 local time each Friday. Upon opening the app, new issues download automatically and won't be re-downloaded if successful. You can also download or delete individual magazines to your phone or download all magazines with one click through the "Settings" section.

The core features, including access to all scanwords, are free for readers, with the costs covered by advertisers. Advertisers are allowed one narrow banner per page and one interstitial ad before opening a scanword, without interrupting the solving process. They also offer free hints in exchange for watching their videos.

Readers have the option to: a) permanently disable ads, b) subscribe to remove ads for the subscription period and gain unlimited hints, or c) collect hints in bulk. These options are available in the "Shop" section.
