Snapchat's 2024 Year in Review: Your Snap Recap

Looking back on the past year? Many apps offer year-end recaps, and Snapchat's new 2024 Snap Recap is a fun way to revisit your memories.

What is a Snap Recap?

New for 2024, the Snap Recap differs from similar features like Spotify Wrapped. Instead of detailed statistics, it showcases a single Snap from each month of the year, creating a personalized highlight reel of your 2024. The Recap seamlessly transitions into your Memories, allowing you to explore further flashbacks from previous years.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Accessing your Recap is simple. On the main Snapchat camera screen, swipe up to open Memories. You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.

Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to begin playback. The Recap automatically scrolls through your selected Snaps, one per month. You can tap the screen to adjust the playback speed. Like any other Snap, you can save, edit, share, or add it to your Story.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't appearing, don't worry. Snapchat Support indicates a staggered rollout, so it may simply not be generated yet. The feature's availability also depends on various factors, including the number of Snaps saved. Infrequent Snapchat use might prevent a Recap from being created. Unfortunately, you can't request a Recap if one isn't automatically generated.
