Tute is a beloved card game that enjoys widespread popularity in Spain and Latin America. It can be played by 2 to 5 players individually, or by four players divided into teams of two.

The objective of Tute is to be the first player or team to reach a predetermined number of points. The game uses a Spanish deck consisting of forty cards.

In Tute, the card hierarchy from highest to lowest is as follows: Ace (worth 11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), and then 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (the latter being white cards with no point value).

Gameplay begins with the first card played setting the suit for the round. Players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including trump cards. The highest trump card played wins the trick; if no trump cards are played, the trick is won by the highest card of the leading suit.
