Samsung Notes is a versatile tool designed to enhance your productivity across mobile, tablet, and PC platforms. It allows you to create, edit, and collaborate on documents seamlessly. With Samsung Notes, you can enrich your documents by adding annotations to PDFs using the S Pen, integrating images or voice recordings, and connecting your documents with various apps like PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Getting started is easy—simply tap the + icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen to create a new note. These notes will be saved with the “sdocx” extension, ensuring compatibility across devices.

To keep your notes secure, you can protect them by navigating to the main screen, tapping More Options in the upper right corner, selecting Settings, and then choosing Lock Note. You can then set a password or other locking method and apply it to specific notes by tapping More Options on the note's screen and selecting Lock Note.

For those who enjoy handwritten notes, simply tap the Handwriting icon while composing a note. Your handwriting will appear directly on the note, providing a personal touch to your documents.

Enhance your notes further by adding photos. Just tap the photo icon within your note to either take a new photo or load an existing one, which you can tag and edit as needed. Voice recordings can also be added effortlessly by tapping the Voice Recording icon while writing, allowing you to create dynamic notes with audio.

Samsung Notes offers a variety of writing tools accessible by tapping the Pen icon. Choose from pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and more, with options for different colors and thicknesses. Use the Eraser icon to selectively remove content as needed.

Importing notes and memos from other apps like S Note and Memo is straightforward with the Smart Switch feature, which also supports importing data from other devices. You can also sync previously created notes and memos using your Samsung account.

Regarding app access permissions, Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function fully. Required permissions include access to storage for saving or loading document files. Optional permissions, which are not necessary for basic functionality, include access to photos and videos, notifications, music and audio, phone, microphone, and camera. These permissions enhance your ability to add multimedia elements to your notes but can be declined if you prefer.
