Kingdom Hearts: The Seven Colossi – the highly anticipated mobile game inspired by the iconic Kingdom Hearts series – has officially been announced by Square Enix and Disney. Set to launch in 2025, the game promises a fresh, action-packed adventure blending the magic of Disney worlds with the dark fantasy elements of the Kingdom Hearts universe.
Key Features:
New Storyline: Players take on the role of a young Keyblade wielder chosen to confront the legendary "Seven Colossi"—massive, ancient guardians corrupted by darkness. The story unfolds across a mysterious realm known as the Eclipse Realms, a fusion of forgotten Disney lands and mythical dimensions.
Dynamic Combat System: Featuring real-time, button-mashing combat with combo chains, elemental attacks, and summonable Disney-themed allies (such as Sora’s friends and iconic Disney characters), the game offers fast-paced battles reminiscent of the main series.
Mobile-First Design: Optimized for touchscreen controls and mobile gaming, the game includes gesture-based magic spells, auto-aim mechanics, and seamless multiplayer co-op for up to 4 players.
Exclusive Disney Worlds: Explore reimagined versions of beloved Disney locations—Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters, Inc., The Lion King, and more—all transformed into colossal, interactive dungeons shaped by the Colossi.
Progression & Customization: Collect and upgrade Keyblades, unlock powerful abilities, and customize your character with iconic outfits from across the Kingdom Hearts franchise. A new "Heart-Link" system allows players to bond with companions for enhanced abilities.
Season Pass & Events: A seasonal content pass will introduce new Colossi, limited-time events, and exclusive items. The first season, "Dawn of the Eclipse," will feature a battle against the corrupted form of Maleficent, known as The Shadow Titan.
Cross-Platform Play: Though primarily a mobile title, Kingdom Hearts: The Seven Colossi supports limited cross-play with the Kingdom Hearts series on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, enabling shared achievements and global leaderboards.
