Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden within Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," function differently than typical quest items. They don't appear in your quest log and aren't traded for traditional quest rewards. Instead, these idols are valuable sellable items.

Locating the Golden Idols

After completing the initial sections of Act 3 and exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment, you'll be transported to the past via a portal, entering the once-magnificent Vaal city of Utzaal (known as The Drowned City in the present).

The Golden Idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't dropped by enemies; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Selling Your Treasures

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and locate Oswald in the northern part of the area. He's the vendor who will purchase your Golden Idols. The prices are as follows:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five idols yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade items, it's recommended to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your gold and minimize clutter.
