Call of Duty Update: Innovative Challenge Tracking Feature in the Works

Treyarch confirms development of in-game challenge tracking for Black Ops 6. This highly requested feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6's launch. While a release date remains unannounced, its inclusion is anticipated with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.

A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes across Multiplayer and Zombies modes, including UI and audio improvements, and XP adjustments for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed

Treyarch's Twitter response to a fan inquiry confirmed the challenge tracking feature is "currently in the works." The absence of this popular Modern Warfare 3 feature in Black Ops 6 had disappointed many players, especially those pursuing Mastery camos. The anticipated functionality mirrors Modern Warfare 3, providing real-time challenge progress tracking within the in-game UI.

Additional Development Updates

Treyarch also acknowledged another significant development: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This feature, also confirmed as "in the works," addresses player frustration with having to manually adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes.
