Animated Sequel's Voice Recording Pending

Jharrel Jerome, star of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has confirmed that production on the highly anticipated third installment, Beyond the Spider-Verse, hasn't even begun. He revealed in an interview with Decider that he hasn't yet recorded any lines, indicating a significant delay before the film's release.

Jerome stated that numerous aspects of the production are still "being figured out," suggesting a complex pre-production phase. This delay isn't entirely unexpected, considering the five-year gap between the first and second films.

"No, I wish," Jerome responded when asked about the commencement of production. "We haven’t started up yet. A lot of things being figured out, but good things."

However, fans should anticipate a considerable wait, with Deadline suggesting a release no earlier than 2026, or potentially as late as 2028 if the production timeline mirrors that of the previous film.
