The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) presents the exciting Primary & Prep school spelling Bee competition through their Little Bee Game app, sponsored by Grace Kennedy Money Services (GKMS) and Western Union (WU). This engaging app, designed for kids aged 4 to 9, offers over 150 words to learn and master in three distinct modes, all playable offline.

In Settings, students can personalize their experience by entering their name, age, parish, and school. They can then choose from Learning Mode 1, Learning Mode 2, or Competition Mode, each featuring 10 levels with progressively longer words. Each level contains 15 or more words.

Learning Mode 1 helps students learn spelling by tapping letters in sequence. The app vocalizes each letter, allowing kids to follow along. Mistakes can be undone by tapping, and the word can be replayed by clicking the little bee icon. Students must spell each word correctly to advance and complete all words to finish a level, with the option to retry any level at any time.

Learning Mode 2 challenges students with jumbled letters. They must arrange them correctly to spell the word. Similar to Mode 1, mistakes can be corrected, and the word can be replayed. Correct spelling is required to move forward and complete levels, with the flexibility to retry levels.

Competition Mode adds a timed challenge with jumbled letters and extra letters thrown in. Students must quickly spell 10 random words from each level's pool, aiming for the shortest completion time. The leaderboard displays the time spent on each level.

Students can reset the game from the Settings page and should wait for a letter to finish being called before selecting the next one. Both students and parents can capture the leaderboard and share it with teachers.
