A maneater is an animal that hunts humans as part of its regular predatory behavior.

In the game, players take control of a female bull shark who must evolve and survive in an open world to

seek revenge on the fisherman who disfigured her as a pup and killed her mother.

Players can uncover hidden landmarks and accomplish side missions. While each region hosts other predators

that will attack the player—such as muskellunge, barracuda, alligators, sperm whales, orcas, and even other

sharks—they also feature their own apex predator, which is larger and visually distinct from the

standard species. These apex predators include a great barracuda, a shortfin mako, an American alligator, a great hammerhead,

a great white shark, an orca, and an albino sperm whale. Defeating these predators rewards the player with unique abilities.

The world is dynamic. As the shark causes more chaos, human bounty hunters will be sent to eliminate it.

If the shark succeeds in killing the lead hunters

The shark must hunt and consume other aquatic creatures like fish and turtles to gain nutrients,

including proteins, fats, minerals, and rare mutagenic materials. Players can also attack humans by causing chaos along the coast,

destroying yachts and ships, and knocking people off jet skis.
