Jason Isaacs schlägt einen unerwarteten Schauspieler für Lucius Malfoy in HBOs Harry Potter -Serie vor

Thailand mag eine Welt von den magischen Hallen von Hogwarts entfernt sein, aber das hat Jason Isaacs, Star of the White Lotus Staffel 3, nicht gestoppt, da er in seine legendären Schuhe als Lucius Malfoy in HBOs bevorstehende Harry Potter -TV -Serie eintreten sollte. In einem offenen Interview mit Variety warf Isaacs einen überraschenden Namen in den Ring: "Meryl Streep", schlug er vor und hob ihre beispiellose Vielseitigkeit in der Schauspielwelt hervor.

"Sie kann alles tun, diese Frau. Es gibt buchstäblich keine Grenze für das, was sie tun kann", lobte Isaacs. Streep, bekannt für ihre transformativen Rollen, hat zuvor männliche Charaktere aufgenommen, insbesondere in der Adaption von Engeln in Amerika in der HBO -Miniserie, wo sie unter anderem einen älteren männlichen Rabbiner spielte. Angesichts ihrer Erfolgsbilanz konnte Streep tatsächlich eine frische und faszinierende Interpretation zu Lucius Malfoy bringen.

Isaacs bietet Streep oder anderen, die die Rolle übernehmen könnten, jedoch keinen Rat an. "Ich hätte überhaupt keinen Rat. Warum sollte ich mich darum kümmern?" er bemerkte. Zuversichtlich in der neuen Besetzung fügte er hinzu: "Ich kenne einige der Leute, die sie bereits besetzen. Sie sind brillante Schauspieler. Es wird fantastisch und das Letzte, was sie brauchen, ist Ratschläge von einem alten Furz wie mir."

Isaacs brachte Lucius Malfoy zum ersten Mal im zweiten Harry Potter -Film Harry Potter und der Geheimkammer zum Leben und porträtierte den Charakter weiter in den letzten Film Harry Potter und The Deathly Hallows Teil 2. Für die neue Adaption wurde bisher nur eine Casting -Entscheidung bestätigt.

John Lithgow wird die Rolle von Albus Dumbledore übernehmen, einem Charakter, der zuvor von Richard Harris und Michael Gambon dargestellt wurde.
