How to Play Backgammon

Classic Backgammon is a two-player logic game played on a board divided into 24 triangles, known as points.
Each player sits on opposite sides of the board, controlling 15 checkers, either black or white.
The game begins with players taking turns to roll the dice, which is why free Backgammon is often referred to as a dice game.
Moves are determined by the numbers rolled. For instance, rolling a 2 and a 5 allows you to move one piece 2 points and another 5 points, or a single piece 7 points.
Once all of a player’s pieces have reached their “home” area, they may begin removing them from the board.
A player wins the game once all their pieces have been successfully removed from the board.

Additional Rules for Free Backgammon

Rolling doubles (two of the same number) allows you to make four moves. For example, rolling double 4s lets you move a total of 16 points, with each piece moving 4 points at a time.
You cannot move a piece to a point occupied by two or more of your opponent’s pieces.
If you move a piece to a point occupied by only one of your opponent’s pieces, that opponent’s piece is hit, removed from the board, and placed on the bar.
